Conor McGregor has been accused of going too far with his social media post reacting to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson.
Paul scored a unanimous decision victory over Tyson in their main-event bout on Netflix as boxing fans made their feelings clear following the result.
‘The Problem Child’ dominated the returning boxing legend, who looked slow and sluggish in the ring.
Both fighters have been suspended in wake of their professional fight.
Naturally, fans and critics alike have had their say on social media, including McGregor, who uploaded a series of posts on X throughout the clash.
But fans online have slammed the UFC star for referencing Prichard Colon, who has been left in a vegetative state with life-altering injuries after he came out a coma.
On X, he wrote: “They are eyeing Prichard Colon for next opponent.”
He has since deleted his post from X.
In another post, the Irishman added: “A 16minute spar in sparring gloves. F**k off.”
Terence Crawford had a more dignified reaction to Paul vs. Tyson as he shared his honest thoughts on the showdown.
He said: “I love Mike Tyson, but they giving him too much credit. He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt out there.”
Speaking to Ariel Helwani in the ring, Paul, who improved his pro record to 11-1, said: “First and foremost, Mike Tyson… he’s a legend, he’s the greatest to ever do it. This man is an icon. It’s just an honor to be able to fight him.
“He’s an icon. He’s a legend. I love him. I love his family. It’s just an honor to be in the ring with all of them. I was trying to hurt him a little bit. I did my best.”
